Gentlemen,
As a reminder to all organisations operating under the CONGU Handicapping System it will become mandatory as of the 1st January 2008 to run all match play events (and where relevant for the calculation of a CSS) using the following handicap allowances:

Singles         Full difference between the handicaps of the players
Foursomes       1/2 the difference between aggregate handicaps of each side
Four-ball       Back marker to concede strokes to the other 3 players based on 3/4 of the difference between the full handicaps

All Golf Clubs should have received their copies of the new manual but I would appreciate it if you could remind your Clubs of this change. Details regarding Handicap Allowances and other changes to the 2008 UHS can be found on the EGU website, English Club Golfer and will be discussed at Handicapping Seminars being run throughout the Country in the New Year.
